User Code of Conduct

1. Our Community Values

MedZone is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment for all students preparing for the UCAT. This Code of Conduct outlines the behavior we expect from all users to maintain a positive community.

2. Expected Behavior

All users are expected to:

2.1 Use the Platform Responsibly

  • Use MedZone solely for your personal UCAT preparation
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Report technical issues, errors, or concerns promptly
  • Provide constructive feedback to help improve the platform
  • Keep your account information accurate and up to date

2.2 Respect Intellectual Property

  • Do not copy, reproduce, or share practice questions outside the platform
  • Do not screenshot or record content for distribution
  • Do not attempt to download or scrape content systematically
  • Respect that all content is copyrighted material

2.3 Act with Integrity

  • Complete practice tests and mock exams honestly
  • Do not attempt to manipulate scores or progress data
  • Use the AI Tutor appropriately for learning, not just for answers
  • Be honest when reporting issues with questions or content

3. Prohibited Behavior

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

3.1 Account Misuse

  • Account Sharing: Sharing your login credentials or account with others
  • Multiple Accounts: Creating multiple accounts to abuse trials or discounts
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be another person or creating fake accounts
  • Unauthorized Access: Attempting to access another user's account

3.2 Content Theft and Distribution

  • Copying or distributing practice questions publicly or privately
  • Sharing mock exam content with others who haven't purchased it
  • Posting questions on social media, forums, or messaging platforms
  • Creating derivative works based on our content without permission
  • Selling or commercializing our content in any way

3.3 Technical Abuse

  • Using bots, scripts, or automation to access the platform
  • Attempting to reverse engineer the platform's code or algorithms
  • Deliberately exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities
  • Overwhelming our servers with excessive requests
  • Attempting to bypass security measures or access restrictions

3.4 Fraudulent Activity

  • Using stolen payment methods
  • Initiating fraudulent chargebacks after using the service
  • Abusing refund policies
  • Manipulating discount codes or promotional offers

3.5 Harmful Communication

  • Sending abusive, threatening, or harassing messages to support staff
  • Making false or defamatory statements about MedZone
  • Encouraging others to violate this Code of Conduct

4. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violations of this Code of Conduct, please report them to us:

  • Through the "Report Issue" feature in your account
  • Via our support chat

All reports will be investigated promptly and confidentially. We take violations seriously and will take appropriate action.

5. Content Reporting

If you encounter problematic content on the platform:

5.1 Question Quality Issues

Use the "Report Issue" button on any question to flag errors, typos, incorrect answers, or unclear wording. Please provide specific details to help us review and fix the issue quickly.

5.2 Technical Problems

Report bugs, crashes, or performance issues through the support system. Include details about what you were doing when the problem occurred, your device/browser, and any error messages.

6. Consequences of Violations

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in the following actions, depending on severity:

6.1 Warning

For first-time or minor violations, we may issue a formal written warning explaining the violation and expected behavior going forward.

6.2 Temporary Suspension

Access to your account may be temporarily suspended while we investigate serious violations. Subscriptions may be paused during this time.

6.3 Account Termination

Serious or repeated violations will result in permanent account termination without refund. This includes:

  • Content theft or distribution
  • Account sharing or selling
  • Fraud or payment abuse
  • Technical attacks on the platform
  • Repeated violations after warnings

6.4 Legal Action

We reserve the right to pursue legal action for:

  • Copyright infringement
  • Fraud or theft
  • Hacking or security breaches
  • Other illegal activities

7. Appeals Process

If your account is suspended or terminated:

  1. You will receive an email explaining the reason and evidence
  2. You may submit an appeal to appeals@medzone.co within 14 days
  3. Provide any additional context or evidence supporting your case
  4. We will review your appeal and respond within 7 business days
  5. Our decision on appeals is final

8. Parent and Guardian Responsibilities

Parents and guardians with oversight accounts should:

  • Ensure their child understands and follows this Code of Conduct
  • Monitor their child's use of the platform appropriately
  • Report any concerns about their child's account
  • Respect their child's privacy while maintaining appropriate oversight
  • Not use their child's account for their own purposes

9. Mock Exam Integrity

When taking mock exams, users must:

  • Complete exams individually without assistance from others
  • Follow time limits honestly without pausing to look up answers
  • Not share exam content before, during, or after taking it
  • Report any technical issues immediately rather than exploiting them

10. AI Tutor Usage Guidelines

When using the AI Tutor feature:

  • Use it to understand concepts and improve your skills
  • Don't rely on it exclusively without engaging with practice questions
  • Report inappropriate or incorrect AI responses
  • Don't attempt to manipulate or abuse the AI system

11. Continuous Improvement

We encourage constructive feedback to help us improve MedZone. Share your suggestions, report issues, and help us create the best possible UCAT preparation experience. Your input is valuable and appreciated.

12. Updates to This Code

We may update this Code of Conduct to reflect changes in our platform, community standards, or legal requirements. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of MedZone after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Code.
